FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Bull City All-Star Game ~ Cullen Classic for Cancer

Triangle to Host State-wide High School Lacrosse All-Star Games

An idea that's been in development for over 2 years is finally coming to fruition. The first, annual "Bull City All-Star Game ~ Cullen Classic for Cancer" will be held on Saturday, June 3 in Koskinen Stadium at Duke University. The event, organized by high school coaches from across the state and a group of Duke lacrosse alumni, will feature three games. Gates will open at 12:00pm, and the all-star action will last until 7pm.

The first game will be the women's all-star game, featuring the top 50 seniors from across the state. The second game will be an intra-squad matchup by the Duke "Gray Devils" an adult club team, which will attract various Blue Devil alumni from across the country. The third game of the day will showcase the top 50 male seniors, and serve as the culmination of the high lacrosse season in North Carolina.

With over 6,000 high school lacrosse players on 141 men's teams and 94 women's teams, the event will serve as an excellent opportunity to increase recognition for the top players in our state, and thereby, help "grow the game". Holding such a profile event in iconic Koskinen Stadium will increase the positive impact the sport of lacrosse has on the Triangle.

This event will also create a dynamic way to honor the contributions that Tony Cullen made as a player, a coach and a referee. All event proceeds will go to the NCHSAA Tony Cullen Memorial Scholarship Fund and the Duke Cancer Institute.
