The Carolina Hilltopper Select Lacrosse Program will hold its high school tryouts Friday, January 24th at North Carolina Central University in Durham. Tryouts will run from 6:30-9:00pm under the lights and is open to players in the classes of 2021, 2022 and 2023. Registrations for tryouts are completely free and players who cannot attend the January 24th date can contact carolinahilltoppers@gmail.com to set up an alternate tryout date.

During the summer, each high school Hilltopper age-based team will compete four tournaments. The season will begin at the end of the state high school season in May and provides North Carolina Lacrosse players the ability to train and compete during the summer months. Teams will typically practice twice a week with an additional night of their summer play league added in for maximum opportunities for player development. The Carolina Hilltopper Program prides itself on helping kids reach the next level of their game, whether that means reaching a player’s goal of competing for a college lacrosse team or teaching a player the required skills needed to move up to a varsity lacrosse team the next spring.

Since the fall of 2011, the Carolina Hilltopper Lacrosse Club has seen approximately 100 of their club players commit to play for NCAA Teams with even more going on to participate in successful club careers. In the 2020 class alone the Hilltoppers have had 15 college commits and counting, including 6 division one commitments. The Hilltopper coaching staff works diligently to connect prospective college athletes with college coaches and does its best to help players find a college fit that is right for them.
