Holly Springs - The Golden Hawks closed Week 4 with a convincing win over the Apex Friendship Patriots. Holly Springs used a 5-goal run in the third quarter to pull away and move up to 4-4 on the year.
The game started with Friendship scoring three goals in the first three minutes of the game. Holly Springs answered with their own run in the middle of the first before the Patriots were able to take a 4-3 lead on an EMO goal by Dominic Miracola with just a few seconds to go in the quarter.
Holly Springs would take over the next two quarters going on a 9-1 run spanning the 2nd and 3rd to take a 12-5 lead heading into the 4th.
The two teams would trade a pair of goals in the fourth to come to the final 14-7 score.
Apex Friendship was lead by an impressive performance at the face-off dot as Junior Sam Johnson went 18/20 on the night.
Holly Springs was anchored by goalie Sean Jesrani who had 15 saves and attackman Justin Boone (3g/3a).
