Thursday July 25th, 2019

Carolina Fever Lacrosse (Raleigh-Durham) and Queen City Stars (Charlotte), North Carolina's premier girls' lacrosse clubs, are announcing a collaboration named Carolina United, aimed at bringing together the region's best talent to represent North Carolina at two select events over the course of the summer and fall club seasons. This collaboration arose from shared values, shared vision, and a shared desire to offer the best opportunities for families and for lacrosse players in North Carolina. While not a separate travel club - this state-level team will supplement the club experience and offer players the chance to show off the best of North Carolina lacrosse.

Carolina Fever and Queen City Stars have been the driving force behind the growth of girls' lacrosse in North Carolina for the last fifteen years. Between the two clubs, they possess nearly 30 years of combined operations and over 200 alums who have gone to over 130 colleges at all levels - including top tier DI, DII, and DIII programs. Through that depth of experience, they have established themselves as the premier clubs in North Carolina and beyond. Both programs strive to set the standard for competitive lacrosse in North Carolina and Carolina United represents the next big step in that pursuit.

For the fall 2019 season, Carolina United 2021 and 2022 teams will participate in a premier recruiting event. During the 2020 season, Carolina United will add 2023 and 2024 teams to top level recruiting and exposure events. Carolina United is currently only open to players on the Queen City Stars and Carolina Fever rosters.

Tryouts for the fall season for Carolina Fever are Saturday, August 3rd from 9AM - 12PM. There are limited spots available for certain teams. Tryouts for the full 2020 season (summer and fall) will be held Saturday, December 7th. Please visit the Fever Lacrosse website for more information.

For players interested in Queen City Stars, spots are limited by invitation only. If you would like to be considered for an evaluation, please contact the directors prior to August 15th for limited spots in the fall or December 15th for a summer evaluation.
