ULAX 2019 Summer League Week 1

By ULAX [Sponsored] 07/14/2019

After a long offseason, few technical difficulties, a holiday celebration, week 1 of the 2019 ULax Raleigh Summer league is in the books.

Game 1

The early game of week 1 featured a rematch of last summer's championship as MEEP took on Bucktown. After a back-and-forth first half Bucktown's deeper bench and hot keeper proved to be the difference. In the end, Bucktown took the 13-6 victory.

Bucktown was lead by Nick Ricucci (3g, 1a), Mike Ricucci (1g,2a), Zach Niemi (2g), and Jared Halverson (2a).

MEEP stats are still being sorted out. You can find full league stat leaders on the ULax Raleigh Stat Page.

Game 2

The night cap was NCLC taking on Team Oakley. The teams battled hard against each other, the heat, and a little rust in the first half. In the Second, Team Oakley's Tim Angell took over, leading Oackley to an 8-2 victory. Angell's four points (3g,1a) were enough to take the early season points lead in the league.

Week 2 Match Ups

Week two is on Wednesday July 17th at Mills School Park Turf Field:
