Week 4 of the 2018 season is in the book, and, not surprisingly, the weather played a factor. This week has some new blood entering the top-10. Week 5 is a short week for most schools heading into spring break:
10. Wakefield (4-0) [NR]
No team has been more affected by weather than Wakefield. The Wolverines doubled their game, and win, total in week four to remain undefeated on the season. Wolverines have first of three 3-game week on tap for week five (Millbrook, Wakeforest, Hoggard).
9. Athens Drive (6-1) [9]
Weather hit the Jags again and they won't get to play Heritage in 2-18, but they did split a pair of conference games against Jordan and Green Hope. Athens will play Panther Creek and Wake Forest this week (Weather permitting of course).
8. Ravenscroft (3-4) [8]
Ravenscroft split week 4, winning big over Chapel Hill and losing a close one to Providence Day. Week five won't get any easier for the Ravens as the play Georgetown Prep and NRCA.
7. Apex Cougars (3-3) [6]
Apex drops another spot after going 1-1 in week 4 splitting a pair of conference games. The Cougars take on SWAC opponent Garner this week.
6. Broughton Capitals (6-3) [7]
Broughton continues a slow climb back up the ranks after three important wins in week four. The Caps will square off against Hoggard before heading into the mid-season break.
5. Durham Academy Cavaliers (2-2) [5]
The Cavs hold string at #5 after going toe-to-toe with national powerhouse Georgetown Prep. DA will face Greensboro Day and St. Christopher's in week 5.
4. Holly Springs Golden Hawks (7-1) [4]
The Golden Hawks went 3-0 in week four winning by a combined 48-14. Week five means a couple of conference rematches against Friendship and Middle Creek.
3. Green Hope Falcons (7-0) [4]
Green Hope took away two more Tri-6 victories against Athens Drive and Pinecrest grabbing sole possesion of first place in the conference. The Falcons play Cary and Riverside to close out the first half of the season.
2. Cardinal Gibbons (7-1) [2]
The Crusaders are on a 6-game win streak after going 3-0 in week 4. Gibbons will rematch against Leesvile on Tuesday.
1. Middle Creek Mustangs (8-0) [1]
A 30 game win streak. Owen Caputo hits 400 career points. Week 4 was fill of milestones for the Mustangs as they took out both schools from Apex in week 4. Middle Creek will close out the first half of 2018 with games against Fuquay-Varina and Holly Springs.
