Week 5 was the most consistant of 2018 so far. Only a few shifts in the top 10 and no one breaking in or falling out this week:
10. Ravenscroft (4-5) [8]
Ravenscroft split the week again, winning big over NRCA and losing to Georgetown Prep. The Ravens play rival Durham Academy and Cary Academy this week.
9. Broughton Capitals (6-3) [6]
Broughton slides back again after a big loss to visiting Hoggard. Caps are on spring break this week.
8. Athens Drive (7-1) [9]
Athens won against both Panther Creek and Wake Forest last week. The Jags are off in week 6.
7. Wakefield (6-1) [10]
The Wolverines went 2-1 in week 5. They garnered wins over Millbrook and Wake Forest, while losing a narrow 10-9 loss to Hoggard. Wakefield is on spring break this week.
6. Apex Cougars (4-3) [7]
Apex won easily against Garner. The Cougars have a big match up against Lake Norman on Saturday.
5. Holly Springs Golden Hawks (8-2) [4]
Holly Springs split a pair of lop-sided games in week 5. Both of Golden Hawks losses are to #1 Middle Creek. They are off this week.
4. Durham Academy Cavaliers (2-2) [5]
Durham Academy split their back to back games in week 5. They won a shootout against Greensboro Day before losing 8-2 to St. Christophers in Richmond Virginia. Cavs have two big ones against #10 Ravenscroft and Charlote Country Day.
3. Green Hope Falcons (9-0) [3]
The Falcons remain undefeated after a win against Cary and a Riverside forfiet.
2. Cardinal Gibbons (8-1) [2]
The Crusaders won against Leesville on Tuesday night to remain undefeated in the Cap-7. Gibbons travels to Maryland next week for two big matchups against Georgtown Prep and national #25 Landon before hosting Don Bosco Prep (NJ) on Friday.
1. Middle Creek Mustangs (10-0) [1]
Two more wins for the Mustangs to remain undefeated. Middle Creek will have a match between the 2017 champions when they play Weddington in week 6.
