Week 6 didn't see a lot of action, but what we had was very good. Several schools have opportunity in week 7 to jump in, or fall out of the top 10:
10. Ravenscroft (5-6) [10]
For the third week in a row, Ravenscroft split the week. The Ravens lost a close one to DA and posted a shutout against Cary Academy. The Ravens are off until April 18th.
9. Broughton Capitals (6-3) [9]
Broughton comes back from break and plays Enloe and South East Raleigh.
8. Apex Cougars (4-4) [6]
Apex lost a tough 6-5 OT game to Lake Norman in the Champion's Challenge on Saturday. Triple headr for the Cougars squaring up agianst Fuquay-Varina, Green Hope, and Friendship.
7. Athens Drive (7-1) [8]
The Jags were off in Week 6. Athens has two home games this week against Cary and Pinecrest.
6. Wakefield (6-1) [7]
The Wolverines went 2-1 in week 5. They garnered wins over Millbrook and Wake Forest, while losing a narrow 10-9 loss to Hoggard. Wakefield is on spring break this week.
5. Holly Springs Golden Hawks (8-2) [5]
Holly Springs travels to Fayetteville this week to play Jack Britt.
4. Durham Academy Cavaliers (5-3) [4]
Durham Academy swept the week winning against Ravenscroft and Charlotte Country Day. The Cavs play Cary Academy and NRCA this week.
3. Green Hope Falcons (9-0) [3]
Green Hope has a big test this week in Apex and hosts Riverside.
2. Cardinal Gibbons (9-2) [2]
Cardinal Gibbons traveled to Maryland for a couple of games and split the back-to-back days losing to Landon and beating Georgetown Prep.
1. Middle Creek Mustangs (11-0) [1]
Another win for the Mustangs as they beat defending 3/2/1A Champions Weddington on Saturday. This week they play Graner, Jack Britt, and Fuquay-Varina.
