Any one, but especially players, who has an interest in youth officiating, please be advised that the Fall US Lacrosse Youth Officials' Clinic will be held the last weekend of August.
Mon. - Thu. 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET
Fri. 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sat. 10:00 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Date: Saturday August 25 8:30 am to 4:30 pm and Sunday August 26 1-4 pm
Location: Cardinal Gibbons HS, 1401 Edwards Mill Road, Raleigh
Cost of the clinic is $60 and that will cover the patch, lunch, manual, snacks, incidentals.
Requirements to become US Lacrosse certified.
Be a member of US Lacrosse, and at least 14 years old. If already a member of US Lacrosse, simply contact US Lacrosse and add Jr. Official to membership status.
If not a member, the cost to join will be between $30-$55 depending on your age.

Contact Rick Wooten before attending to make sure he will have enough material. rickwooten.tmola@gmail.com. Players should contact Rick directly, not through their parents. If you want the responsibility of officiating, then you need to take the responsibility of contacting him personally.
Take the online Rules and Penalty course on the USL website.
Attend minimum of 10 hours classroom, covering the rules, mechanics, situations.
Pass both the US Lacrosse Youth Rules test and the NFHS Rules test. The test can be taken as many times as needed to pass and each question will give you 2 tries to get the correct answer.
Pass the field training and evaluation, must have full uniform.
Recertify in the spring with the 2019 rules, This is a short 3 hour classroom, no cost to you plus you also have to take the tests for 2019 as well as work another scrimmage.
